Compilation of my final collegiate performance.
<NAIA Outdoor Nationals 2024>
My first real test of 2026.
This showcases my performance at my first multi-event of the year the Indoor Heptathlon. Honestly it was a load of fun. I was able to compete along side a few of the athletes that I coach and really guide them through the full competition. But most importantly I learned where I truly am at in my training. For the past 6 months I have been focused on strength and technique as to avoid trying to “jump in” where I left off and end up injuring myself again. While I proved that I am still capable of hitting good numbers my endurance was lacking. In the past after a couple events I was “good as new” after 20 or so minutes. In this competition it was clear that I was not nearly as conditioned as I had been 2 years ago.
Now that I am more or less back in the swing of things, I believe I will be able to push my body further in practices. I can push to the point of failure and get up the next day to do it again and give myself less rest time to condition my body into being ready to do it for the bigger meets.
